NielleBakes - Where social justice tastes great

When art went to the wayside while remodeling a home, working full time, and having children, cooking and baking became the media through which Danielle expressed herself.

During the pandemic in 2020, she used Instagram as an educational platform to learn more techniques. With those new skills (and new challenges) she baked to her heart’s content and shared with her friends online. They drooled a lot, and told her she should put her goodies online. Thus, NielleBakes was born.

Thanks to all of the real life friends, family, and online Instagrammers who have been inspirational!

Giving back is the whole idea.

The main goal of Niellebakes is to raise money for charities.

Each month, Danielle chooses a charity theme. People are asked to donate $20 or more to a charity that fits within that theme and to send her a copy of their receipt. She adds their name into a drawing. Once the window for donations closes, she uses a name randomizer to choose the winner!

The cookies for the month are chosen by Danielle, but if you ask her real nice she might switch them out for ones you like better. Or for gluten free flour. Or with nuts. Or without nuts. Or whatever. She’s flexible.

Because Danielle isn’t selling her goods (but she may send you some if you ask real nice), here’s how you can get some of your own.

  1. Donate.

  2. Ask super nice.

  3. Donate.

@niellebakes and friends have raised money for these charities
